Rich, Young “Ruler” Observes TLC Clinic

A rich, young South African named Rodney came to bush clinic recently. He lived in a mansion on the Indian Ocean, had all the money and good times anyone could desire. But he knew something was missing.
“This is what life is all about,” he said at the end of long, sweltering day when 400 people were treated, 75 fitted with eyeglasses, and four received wheelchairs. “The VanderWals and everyone here are not just helping hands. They are fingers.
“All day long I’ve looked for someone who is sad. I can’t find anyone. It’s been a relaxing day for all these Swazis, like when we go to a spa.”
Rodney continued: “The Luke Commission gives it all free – their time, their expertise, the medicines… I’ve seen so many precious things today. Can you imagine how many generations are going to hear the story about what happened here?”
“Do you believe in Jesus?” we asked Rodney. “I’m beginning to,” he answered with tears in his eyes.
