Fundraising Volunteer - At the top of the list in this volunteer. Why? The Luke Commission clinics grow and expand because God has rained down His favor. Meanwhile, the donor base must grow and expand, too.

Prayer Warrior - Any age, any walk-of-life, no limit, no qualifications to be a prayer warrior, just faith in Jesus and the assurance that God hears and answers prayer. Your prayers for TLC and the Swazi patients we serve is our utmost volunteer request.

5K Volunteer or Coordinator - The folks of Xenia, Ohio, have led the way with this exciting fundraiser, now in its 3rd year. We welcome a walk/run sporting in your area, too, if you are so inclined.

Banquet and Auction Volunteer or Coordinator - These premiere evenings feature Harry and Echo VanderWal and sons – in person when they’re in North America briefly each year.  If you would like to arrange a dinner and ask the VanderWals to speak, please email them for open dates in late October, November, or December. To those in Dayton, western North Carolina, Oklahoma City, and northern Idaho, please know we need your help and hands for future dinner/auction events.

Web Development and Graphic Design - Want to volunteer your design or content entry skills? We are looking for a few additional hands to help produce and manage TLC content. Work with our creative director to produce art/production graphics for TLC marketing materials, or work online to help with content entry for the website and emails. Entry-level graphic design experience, content entry / basic HTML skills or working within the DNN CMS are a plus.

Short-Term Volunteer - Short-term volunteers to The Luke Commission serve two to four weeks. Costs include:

  • Airfare, which varies depending on originating city and time of year
  • Per diem for food, lodging, and living expenses while in Swaziland
  • Ministry investment for bush clinic logistics, medical supplies, and medications

Long-Term Volunteer - Long-term volunteers are accepted on a person-by-person basis and first should come as a short-term volunteer. Please know this a serious commitment which requires seeking God’s best, raising considerable support, and fitting into The Luke Commission team already on the ground.

Donate New Clothes and Shoes -  We humbly request no more used clothing and shoes. We welcome new shoes and new clothes, especially for newborn babies, as well as handmade blankets and knitted items. The logistics of shipping and distributing used clothing is too time-consuming, especially when TLC services continue to increase. Also, most of these items will be shipped asap on containers which cost $8,000 to $10,000 from the US to Swaziland.
