The blessings of heaven continue to pour down on the people of Eswatini and The Luke Commission. Your prayers and support have made a difference. This year has been one of rapid expansion. TLC’s rural patients have doubled since 2012.

Right now, today, two TLC supporters have offered to match every dollar given before December 22, up to $50,000! What a way to maximize and multiply your year-end giving

In 2014, TLC served over 50,000 patients, educated 100,000 on HIV/AIDS and TB prevention and treatment, and delivered 200,000 medical services. Outreaches were increased from 53 to 73 communities. TLC’s staff has grown to 80 national and international staff.

Development of the Miracle Campus has created the foundation for TLC’s growth. Four buildings are completed and two more warehouses are under construction.

In 2015, TLC is scheduled to complete the 24-month training process of a second full outreach team which will allow TLC to serve 10% of the entire population of Eswatini annually starting in 2016.

Why does it matter? The growth is not about the numbers. It is about each life touched with compassion and dignity. It is about each HIV test, each TB screen, each male circumcision performed, each pair of eye glasses provided, each glucose test and each blood pressure taken. It is about the TLC counselor who sits with a patient who has tested positive for HIV for the first time and literally walks them through the valley of the shadow of death to hope (physical and spiritual) on the other side.

It is about the eighty boys in a very isolated community on the border between Eswatini and South Africa, all circumcised on the same day at a TLC outreach, who will be 60% less likely to contract HIV. That single outreach will affect the trajectory of HIV in that community for a generation.

It is about following up with all newly-identified HIV+ patients to make sure they have successfully enrolled in treatment at their clinic of choice because TLC provided them everything they needed, including counseling, CD4 and blood chemistry results, a chest x-ray and a completed referral package to present for immediate treatment. It is ensuring that as they begin treatment and experience the side effects of anti-retroviral therapy, someone is there to call for reassurance and encouragement.

Every outreach is game day at TLC. We are pumped, ready to go and serve the Lord, serve the people of Eswatini, to make a difference in the future of a nation.

We are asking you to join us each game day, every outreach, by upping your commitment to The Luke Commission as you consider your end-of -year giving.
