Strategic Support Team
To partners and donors, Amannda Tuinstra says: “We see miracles happen every day. When I give the little I have, I take part in those miracles for individuals and for the Swazi nation in general. Those who are not right here but donate are the sparks that ignite the miracles.”
Amannda oversees training in the surgical department at outreaches, supervises the staff dental program, works in HR, and teaches her daughters.
Now expecting their fourth child. Amannda tears up when she speak of her Savior. “Jesus is my constant. I might struggle in some areas, but I have faith in Him. He doesn’t change, and He has never left me.”
Pondering her children’s future, she explains: “I hope they have a true relationship with the Lord and walk with Him, not just know Him but walk with Him.”
The Luke Commission’s headquarters will stay in Swaziland because “the founders love the Swazi people. This is their dream, but it’s also reality for them serving the Lord here. They are living out life for Jesus in ways living for yourself cannot.”
Amannda’s parents, brother and sisters and their families live in northern Idaho where they were all born. However, they rejoice that Joe, Amannda, Kalila, Alexa, and Kruz have found a fresh purpose in Swaziland.
Amannda and her husband Joe and three children came to Swaziland following “life-changing events in our family. God opened doors for us we never could have imagined. We are fulfilled here.”
