Because every child deserves to grow up without pain—and every family deserves hope.
Through our Luvelo system, TLC has witnessed a growing need for specialty and surgical care, especially in pediatrics. Many children are living with treatable conditions—simply because the right help wasn’t available at the right time.
That’s why this week, The Luke Commission is offering free surgical assessments for children 18 years and youngerwho may need care from a pediatric surgeon.
If you’ve been waiting, praying, or wondering if anything more could be done—this is the moment. Assessments are completely free, and surgeries may be scheduled based on the surgeon’s evaluation.

đź“‹ WHAT TO BRING: All past medical records, reports, or referral letters
We are especially inviting children with the following conditions:
✅ Children with a colostomy bag (a bag on the stomach for bowel movements) — please bring all past medical records
âś… Children passing stool from the wrong opening
âś… Boys whose testicles are not in the scrotum
âś… Boys with a bulge in the groin or testicle area (possible hernia)
âś… Children over age 4 with a belly button that is still bulging or popping out
âś… Any child who has been told they need a pediatric surgeon
UPDATE:
Since this invitation began, we’ve seen many additional pediatric cases that weren’t on the original list. If you believe your child has any surgical concern—even if it’s not listed—please come.
No concern is too small. No story is dismissed.
Your visit not only helps your child, but also helps TLC understand what services families across Eswatini need most. This will shape our future pediatric and specialty outreach across the nation.
