Training & Leadership

The Training and Leadership Centre of Excellence (TLCE), develops hearts, minds, and skills for a life of compassionate service. With over a dozen training venues, counseling rooms, and a 1000-seat auditorium, TLCE is a force multiplier for deepening and extending TLC’s culture of compassionate care.

Base Camp

Borne from a compassionate desire to support staff, many of whom were orphaned from Eswatini's HIV/AIDS crisis, the 10-week Base Camp onboarding program endeavors to impart essential skills, to facilitate inner healing, and to nurture TLC’s trademark can-do servant mentality.

Behind the scenes, TLC counselors facilitate reconciliation, healing, and forgiveness, recognizing the profound impact of emotional well-being on individual and collective growth. Blending classroom instruction, hands-on service opportunities and on-the-job training, this intensive growth environment fosters a deep understanding of TLC's culture of compassion and comprehensive approach.

The Joy of Learning.
A Heart of Celebration.

"Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless." Henry Nouwen
